"How to Get and Use the Wish Machine in Once Human"

Author : Madison May 13,2025

The highly anticipated mobile version of the post-apocalyptic survival game, *Once Human*, is slated for release on April 23, 2025. Since its announcement in 2024, it has consistently topped wishlists among fans of the genre. A standout feature in *Once Human* is the Wish Machine, which allows players to obtain crucial blueprints for weapons, gear, and other items that significantly enhance their survival experience in the game’s harsh, post-apocalyptic world. This guide offers a detailed look at the Wish Machine, covering how to unlock, build, and make the most of it.

How to Unlock the Wish Machine

Unlocking the Wish Machine is straightforward, as the game encourages early access to this feature. To set up your Wish Machine, simply progress through the main storyline quests. You'll encounter the Wish Machine during the main quest line in the Greywater Camp of the Iron River section. Upon finding it, interact with the machine to decide whether to transfer it to your base or craft it using the required resources. Once unlocked, you'll need the following materials to construct the Wish Machine:

  • Copper Ingots: 25
  • Rusted Parts: 10
  • Metal Scraps: 5
  • Rubber: 3
  • Glass: 5

After collecting these materials, you can build the Wish Machine in your territory by navigating to the building menu and selecting Facilities > Function Facility.

Using the Wish Machine involves spending starchrom: a single draw costs 500 starchrom, while a 10-pull requires 5000 starchrom. Once you've made your selection, a mini-game begins where you must hit a llama with a mallet. Although the outcome of the mini-game doesn't affect your reward, you must successfully make the hit. If you prefer to skip this, you can select the "Bypass Cutscene" button to proceed directly to the results.

Tips for Using the Wish Machine to Your Benefit

While the Wish Machine's mechanics are simple, players can optimize their use of it with these tips:

  • Evaluating Costs: The mini-game offers a chance-based system, but for high-tier items, directly purchasing blueprints from the Blueprint Shop might be more cost-effective.

  • Budgeting Starchrom: With starchrom being a limited resource, prioritize spending on blueprints that best suit your gameplay style.

  • Understanding Probability: The rewards from the mini-game are randomized. If you're after a specific item, be prepared for multiple attempts or consider buying it directly from the Blueprint Shop.

For an enhanced gaming experience, players can enjoy Once Human on a larger screen using BlueStacks on their PC or laptop, along with the precision of a keyboard and mouse.
