Legacy XP Tokens Now Available in Black Ops 6 Update

Author : Anthony Jan 27,2025

The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone can leverage existing resources to accelerate their progress. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.

Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6Following the Season 01 update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens. These were readily used to boost XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a subsequent November 15th update addressed a bug that allowed these tokens to be activated within the Black Ops 6 interface.

These Legacy XP Tokens are unused tokens carried over from previous Call of Duty titles accessible through the COD HQ app, including Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Warzone. These tokens were earned through various methods such as DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. Any tokens acquired in these games remain usable in Warzone. Here's how to utilize them in Black Ops 6.

Utilizing Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6

Initially, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP tokens directly within Black Ops 6. This functionality was temporarily unavailable after a patch. A workaround existed, however, allowing players to leverage these tokens to enhance XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression in Black Ops 6.

The workaround involved activating the Legacy XP Tokens in Warzone. Upon returning to Black Ops 6, the token and its timer would then appear in the game's UI. While this method required switching between games and tokens had real-time timers, it provided a means to expedite leveling in Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
