For years, the Furnace was one of Clash Royale's most overlooked cards—barely noticeable on the battlefield as it passively spawned Fire Spirits while players focused on flashier tactics.
A Game-Changing Revival
With Season 74 now live, Supercell has completely reinvented the Furnace, transforming it from a static structure into a mobile, combat-ready unit. This marks a dramatic shift for one of the game's original cards.
Unlike previous reworks—such as the Goblin Hut's incremental update—this overhaul fundamentally alters the Furnace's role. Now it actively engages in battles, moving across the arena while maintaining its core Fire Spirit mechanics.
Though still a 4-Elixir Rare card, everything else has changed. The new Furnace walks, attacks at range, and targets both air and ground units with single-target damage from six tiles away.
Its evolution, Hot Spawns, accelerates Fire Spirit production to every 1.8 seconds (down from 5 seconds) while alternating spawn points for wider coverage and higher damage output.

The Furnace takes center stage this August, featuring prominently in loading screens with entirely new artwork, frames, and character designs.
Season 74 also introduces sweeping balance changes: Dagger Duchess, Royal Chef, Spear Goblins, Miner, and several other cards receive nerfs, while Spirit Empress, Phoenix, Zappies, Golem, and Minions get buffs.
