"Guide to Completing For Whom the Bell Tolls in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2"

Main quests in video games can be quite stressful, especially when they require you to navigate unfamiliar territories under tight time constraints. In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is one such challenging quest that follows directly after "Wedding Crashers." Here's a detailed walkthrough on how to successfully complete it.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 For Whom the Bell Tolls Walkthrough

In this quest, Henry finds himself imprisoned in Trosky, with his friend Hans scheduled for execution once the bell tolls 12 times. Fortunately, Henry is allowed to work as a laborer around the castle instead of staying locked up, providing him a small window of opportunity to rescue Hans.

Hauling Sacks

Your first task is to haul sacks to a shed. This is a mandatory step, so grab a sack from the wagon and carry it to the designated shed next to the fenced area. Drop the sack inside and repeat the process until you've completed the objective.

Help the Blacksmith

Next, assist the blacksmith who, though reluctant, asks you to craft a horseshoe. Head to the forge area located across from the blacksmith's archway. Gather the necessary materials and craft the horseshoe. After the blacksmith approves it, take the horseshoe to the stables down the same path where you hauled the sacks.

Help Fanka the Cook

After delivering the horseshoe, it's time to aid Hans. Return to the forge and pick up a lockpick from the red pot on the shelves. Then, converse with Fanka, the cook standing nearby. By offering to help her, you gain access to the noble's kitchen. Follow Fanka to the kitchen; while you don't need to lockpick it, doing so will boost your reputation and earn you future food privileges.

Speak with the Chamberlain

Upon entering the kitchen, you'll notice the chamberlain suffering from pain. Engage in a conversation with him and try to persuade him to allow you to brew a Digestive Potion. Success grants you access to the surgeon's workshop; otherwise, you'll need to sneak in.

Make Fever Tonicum

If you couldn't convince the chamberlain, grab some food from the kitchen to distract the guard near the non-noble kitchen. If you did convince him, you can proceed directly to the surgeon's workshop. Navigate through the castle, up the stairs, and into the workshop. Craft the Fever Tonicum and, if necessary, the Digestive Potion using the ingredients found in the room's chest.

Cure Thomas

With the Fever Tonicum ready, if you helped the chamberlain, return to him with the Digestive Potion to gain access to Thomas's room. If you're sneaking, avoid the guards by taking the stairs in the noble's kitchen and staying crouched. Distract any guards with a pebble and sneak past them to reach Thomas's room. Give the Fever Tonicum to Adele, who is caring for Thomas, to trigger the concluding cutscene of the quest.

By completing "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* before the 12 bells toll, you not only save Hans but also enhance your reputation within the game. If you miss the deadline, the outcome remains the same, but the added reputation makes the difference.
