Fortnite Resurrects Popular Superhero Skin

Fortnite's Wonder Woman Skin Makes a Triumphant Return After a Year-Long Hiatus

After over a year of absence, the highly popular Wonder Woman skin has returned to Fortnite's item shop. This isn't just the skin itself; the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and Golden Eagle Wings glider have also made a comeback, available individually or as a discounted bundle. This marks another significant DC crossover event for the ever-evolving battle royale.

Epic Games continues its trend of incorporating major pop culture franchises into Fortnite, ranging from music artists to clothing brands like Nike and Air Jordan. Superhero skins, particularly those from DC and Marvel, have become a staple, often timed to coincide with movie releases and even introducing unique gameplay elements. Previous collaborations have featured multiple variants of characters like Batman and Harley Quinn, reflecting different comic book iterations.

Community member HYPEX confirmed the Wonder Woman skin's return after a 444-day absence, its last appearance being October 2021. The skin is priced at 1,600 V-Bucks, with the complete bundle offering a discount at 2,400 V-Bucks.

This Wonder Woman resurgence follows a December resurgence of other popular DC skins, including Starfire and Harley Quinn. The recent Japanese-themed Chapter 6 Season 1 also introduced new variant skins: Ninja Batman and Karuta Harley Quinn.

Fortnite's current season, with its Japanese theme, continues to see crossovers with related media. The Dragon Ball skins have returned for a limited time, and a Godzilla skin is slated for release later this month, with rumors of a Demon Slayer collaboration in the future. The return of the Wonder Woman skin provides fans another opportunity to acquire cosmetics for this iconic female superhero.
