Square Enix's Foamstars Goes Free-to-Play October 4th

No More PS+ Subscription Needed

Foamstars, Square Enix's Answer to Splatoon 3, Becomes Free-to-Play in Less Than a Year Since LaunchIn a recent support page update, Square Enix revealed that Foamstars will transition to a free-to-play model. This means no more PlayStation Plus subscription is required to play! Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, the game will be available for free download and play starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.

A "Legacy Gift" awaits players who purchased Foamstars before the switch. This exclusive in-game reward pack includes:

  • 12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
  • 1 special Slide Board design
  • 1 exclusive title: "Legacy"
