On May 31, FromSoftware addressed multiplayer connection problems through an official tweet, advising players encountering expedition matchmaking difficulties to restart the matchmaking process. While this solution may seem limited, it confirms developer awareness of the issue. The statement concluded: "We appreciate your patience during this time."
A subsequent tweet focused on PlayStation-specific connectivity, recommending PS4 and PS5 users verify their NAT type settings. "NAT Type 3 configurations may interfere with PSN matchmaking functionality," the developer clarified.
PlayStation users can check NAT type via: Home > Settings > Network > Connection Status > Check Connection Status
Xbox-specific guidance remains unavailable currently.
