As the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard draws near, BioWare has shared thrilling insights into what PC gamers can anticipate from this eagerly awaited title. The studio has gone to great lengths to ensure that the PC version offers an unparalleled gaming experience, building on the legacy of the Dragon Age series which began on this platform.

In a recent developer journal, BioWare has provided a comprehensive look at the PC-specific features of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The studio emphasized a variety of enhancements, including extensive customization options, advanced display settings, and seamless integration with Steam's native features such as cloud saves, Remote Play support, and compatibility with the Steam Deck.

Alongside this announcement, Nvidia released an "RTX Announce Trailer" that confirmed the game's release date as October 31. BioWare's commitment to delivering an optimal PC experience is evident in their dedication to the platform where the Dragon Age series originated. "The Dragon Age franchise started out on PC, and we wanted to make sure PC is a great place to play our game," the studio stated. To ensure this, BioWare invested approximately 200,000 hours in performance and compatibility testing on PCs, which constituted 40% of their total platform testing efforts.

Furthermore, BioWare conducted nearly 10,000 hours of user research to refine controls and UI functions across various setups. Players can look forward to native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptic feedback, as well as support for Xbox controllers and keyboard and mouse setups. The game will also allow players to switch between controllers and keyboard/mouse setups mid-game or in menus. Additionally, The Veilguard introduces customizable class-specific keybinds, enabling personalized control schemes. The game supports 21:9 Ultrawide displays, a Cinematic Aspect Ratio toggle, customizable field of view (FOV), uncapped frame rates, full HDR support, and Ray Tracing features.
