Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update

Author : Carter May 19,2025

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming, is poised for a monumental update that will revolutionize how players engage with the game. Supercell is set to eliminate troop training times entirely, allowing you to deploy your army almost instantly and dive into battles faster than ever before. This change follows the removal of training costs in 2022, marking a significant shift in gameplay mechanics.

With this update, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. However, you can still obtain them from the Trader and Gold Pass temporarily. Be sure to use these items before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems afterward.

To complement this major change, Supercell is introducing a new feature called Match Anytime. This mechanic allows you to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real-time opponents are available. You'll earn rewards from these matches, while the players whose bases are used won't lose anything if defeated. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now be a standard feature.

Keep an eye out for additional updates, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For a deeper dive into these changes and more, visit the Supercell blog.
