Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing new quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings.
In a recent post on their Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom stated: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This stern message underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining a level playing field for all Monster Hunter Wilds players.
Capcom also highlighted that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times, and the "right to rewards" could be revoked for all members of the party. They advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with individuals engaging in prohibited activities or those suspected of such behavior. The company encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. Given the potential for cheating to impact rewards and completion times, Capcom's crackdown on fraudulent activity is a necessary step to preserve the integrity of these competitive quests.
These Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub located in Suja. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Be sure to head straight to the Grand Hub once Title Update 1 goes live in Monster Hunter Wilds.
