Mastering Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars: A Comprehensive Guide

Brawl Stars' newest brawler, Buzz Lightyear, is a limited-time addition available only until February 4th. This guide will help you unlock and effectively utilize his unique abilities before he's gone.

Buzz Lightyear's defining feature is his ability to select one of three distinct combat modes before each match: Laser, Saber, and Wing. This versatility makes him adaptable to various game modes.

How to Play Buzz Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear is a free unlock from the in-game shop, already maxed out at Power Level 11 with his Gadget unlocked. He lacks Star Power and Gears, but his single Gadget, Turbo Boosters, allows for quick dashes, ideal for closing in on enemies or escaping danger. His Hypercharge, Bravado, temporarily boosts his stats. Both Gadget and Hypercharge are functional across all three modes.

Here's a breakdown of Buzz's modes:

Mode Image Stats Attack Super
Laser Mode Health: 6000, Movement Speed: Normal, Range: Long, Reload Speed: Fast 2160 5 x 1000
Saber Mode Health: 8400, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Short, Reload: Normal 2400 1920
Wing Mode Health: 7200, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Normal, Reload: Normal 2 x 2000 -

Laser Mode excels at long-range combat, its burn effect hindering enemy healing. Saber Mode thrives in close-quarters, its Super enabling strategic positioning, particularly effective against throwers. Wing Mode offers a balanced approach, best utilized at closer ranges.

Best Game Modes for Buzz Lightyear

Buzz's adaptability makes him effective across various game modes. Saber Mode shines in close-quarters maps (Showdown, Gem Grab, Brawl Ball). Laser Mode dominates open maps (Knockout, Bounty), its burn effect extending his offensive pressure. He's unavailable in Ranked Mode.
