"Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode: New Map May Cut Amalgams"

Author : Christian May 06,2025

Exciting news for fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6! Developer Treyarch has just announced the arrival of a brand-new Zombies map, set to shake up the round-based survival mode. This map marks the fifth addition to the game and promises a thrilling experience. A sneak peek was shared on the official Call of Duty and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio's X (formerly Twitter) accounts on March 12, 2025. The teaser image showcases a grand mansion, visibly damaged with flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and internal fires, setting the stage for intense gameplay.

The post is captioned with "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and tagged with "#Zombies." Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a beloved character from the series, notably featured in Call of Duty: Cold War, is set to return in this Black Ops 6 remake. Fans have quickly identified the map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, which aligns perfectly with the narrative from the previous map, The Tomb, suggesting a seamless continuation of the storyline.

Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams

One of the most intriguing aspects of this new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies. Treyarch confirmed this on their Instagram account in response to a fan's comment about facing 20 amalgams, simply stating "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, are typically a challenging Elite class enemy. Their exclusion from this map could lead to a smoother and potentially more enjoyable gameplay experience for players.
