Jason Sudeikis Confirms Ted Lasso Season 4

Author : Christopher May 17,2025

Fans of the heartwarming Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso have reason to celebrate as star and producer Jason Sudeikis officially confirmed that the show is gearing up for a fourth season. The announcement came during a lively chat on the New Heights sports podcast, hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In a snippet from the podcast's latest episode, Sudeikis shared that the team is currently in the process of writing Season 4, teasing fans with the news that Ted will be coaching a women's team this time around.

This update marks the first solid news on the continuation of Ted Lasso in nearly two years, providing much-needed reassurance to fans eager for more of the feel-good soccer series. While Sudeikis didn't disclose whether Season 4 would be the final chapter or where the story might unfold, he humorously sidestepped Travis Kelce's question about Ted's potential return to the U.S., saying, "Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know."

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway with Juno Temple, who plays Keeley, to reprise her role, while Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are confirmed to return as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Sources indicate that filming for the first episode of the new season is slated to start in Kansas City before the action moves back to the UK, with production set to kick off in July.

Apple TV+ is wasting no time in rekindling the Ted Lasso buzz. Though specifics about the release date and plot remain under wraps, the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its unexpected hiatus with a post that read, "Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?"

The last significant update on Ted Lasso came in the summer of 2024 when Deadline reported that Season 4 was on the cusp of receiving the green light.
