Xbox Cloud Gaming\'s beta now lets you play your own games, even outside the catalogue

Author : Thomas Jan 22,2025

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate expands cloud gaming access to personally owned titles. Now, subscribers can stream games they own, even those outside the standard Game Pass library, on various devices.

This significant update to the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta (currently in 28 countries) adds 50 new games to the streaming options. Previously, cloud gaming was limited to titles within the Game Pass catalogue. This change dramatically increases the number of streamable games.

This means popular titles like Baldur's Gate 3, Space Marine 2, and others become accessible for streaming on phones and tablets. This is a major advancement in cloud gaming accessibility.

Expanding Cloud Gaming Horizons

The ability to stream personally owned games is a welcome addition, addressing a long-standing limitation of cloud gaming services. The restricted game selection has been a major hurdle; this update simplifies the process significantly.

This development will be key in assessing cloud gaming's competitiveness against traditional mobile gaming. While the concept has existed for some time, this feature pushes the boundaries of what's possible.

For assistance setting up console or PC streaming, helpful guides are available. Enjoy gaming anytime, anywhere.
