Bullseye in Marvel Snap: snap or nay

Author : Aria Mar 16,2025

Bullseye, a timeless Marvel villain, though perhaps a bit outdated, remains a classic comic book character. He's one of those memorable bad guys—dressed in a ridiculous costume, acting out of character, and generally being a chaotic force of evil. But his simple premise is what makes him so effective.

Well, perhaps not. But what *does* he do?

Bullseye's Abilities

Bullseye, whose real name is unknown (possibly Benjamin Poindexter or Lester), is a sadistic, murderous psychopath with a ruthlessly efficient approach to killing. A "peak human" in Marvel terms, his skill lies not in superhuman abilities, but in his exceptional marksmanship. He can use anything as a weapon—a throwing knife, a pen, a paperclip, or his signature razor playing cards—and kill with deadly precision.

He's a hired mercenary who operates across the Marvel universe, famously killing Elektra and acting as Hawkeye in the Dark Avengers, further showcasing his lethal efficiency and entrepreneurial spirit. He kills because he's good at it, and because it's profitable.

Bullseye in the Game

So, what does he *do* in the game? He throws things. His ability lets him fling objects with uncanny skill. In SNAP, he uses your weakest cards (1-Cost or less) to deal damage to your opponent's cards, reducing their Power by -2. This perfectly captures his precise aim and sadistic nature.

This makes him ideal for Discard synergies like Scorn or Swarm. These archetypes ensure you have eligible cards to discard when activating Bullseye, maximizing his effect. While limited by cards like Daken, he still offers a controlled discard outlet, supporting cards like Morbius or Miek.

However, Bullseye isn't without weaknesses. Luke Cage renders him almost useless, and Red Guardian can disrupt his carefully planned turns. Strategic planning is crucial when using him.

Bullseye Decks

Discard decks are Bullseye's natural home, synergizing perfectly with Scorn and Swarm. A Swarm-focused deck, incorporating cards like Collector, Victoria Hand, and Moonstone, maximizes his potential. Gambit adds further card-throwing synergy and powerful effects.

Another approach focuses on Daken, using Bullseye for controlled discarding and redundancy to support Daken's doubling effect. This is a riskier strategy, but potentially rewarding.

Final Verdict

Bullseye is a challenging card to master. His Activate ability requires careful deck construction and strategic planning. While his effect is limited, his high impact and synergy with Discard archetypes like Swarm and Scorn make him a valuable addition to a well-built deck.
