Purple: New Mobile Game from Bart Bonte Released

Author : Caleb Feb 08,2025

Bart Bonte's latest brain teaser, simply titled "Purple," is now available on Google Play and the App Store. This microgame collection, part of a color-themed series, features over 50 uniquely challenging levels. Expect vibrant purple visuals and a custom soundtrack.

Following the color-coded naming convention of its predecessors (Yellow, Red, Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Orange), Purple offers a rapid-fire succession of short, self-contained puzzles. These puzzles range from simple arrangements to intricate mazes, prioritizing unique challenges over overwhelming complexity. The trailer showcases examples such as aligning three number threes or navigating a small maze.

The game's aesthetic is undeniably pleasing, with a consistent purple color palette and a specially composed soundtrack enhancing the overall experience. The art style hints at Art Nouveau influences.

While the premise might seem simplistic, the combination of quick, engaging puzzles, a charming soundtrack, and visually appealing graphics makes Purple a compelling title. Whether it will achieve the same critical acclaim as Bonte's previous games remains to be seen.
