New X-Men Season in Marvel Snap Revives High School Memories

Author : Nova May 28,2025

The halls of Xavier’s Institute are buzzing with excitement in Marvel Snap this May, as the New X-Men theme takes center stage. This season introduces a dynamic lineup of characters ready to shake up your matches, starting with the newest recruit, Esme Cuckoo. Alongside her, you'll encounter electrifying Surge, strategic Prodigy, and other rising stars poised to redefine the meta.

Esme Cuckoo, a telepathic clone of Emma Frost, leads the charge with her no-nonsense approach. Her On Reveal effect is a game-changer, pulling a card from your deck, adjusting its cost to three with four Power, and handing it to you like a psychic grenade ready to explode on the battlefield.

But Esme is just the beginning. Throughout May, Marvel Snap will introduce a new Series 5 mutant each week, each bringing unique twists to your strategies. Expect cost reductions, copycat tactics, and resurrection tricks as you integrate Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn into your decks. Don't miss out on the return of Captain Carter's seasonal pack if you haven't grabbed it yet.

The new locations this month add even more drama to your games. Pit of Exile forces you to rethink your power plays, encouraging leaner builds and smarter sequencing. Meanwhile, Genosha sets the stage for intense final turns by clearing all but your most expensive card right at the end. These locations are ready to flip the script on your usual strategies.

Beyond the arenas, Marvel Snap is rolling out three new collection albums this month. Starting May 8th, dive into a Penny Arcade collaboration featuring Mike Krahulik's unique variants. On May 15th, enjoy a chibi-themed collection from Rian Gonzales, and wrap up the month on May 30th with a disco-themed dance fest starring Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Dazzler in their grooviest variants.
