Where Winds Meet, the highly anticipated open-world Wuxia action-adventure from Everstone Studios, will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for a minimum of six months.
This confirmation comes from a new video published on the PlayStation YouTube channel (a multiplatform version of the trailer is included below). Along with offering a glimpse into the game's story, the teaser's conclusion revealed the timed PS5 console exclusivity period. The game is also planned for release on mobile and PC.

Regarding the release date, we currently only have a general "coming in 2025" timeframe. However, publisher NetEase has confirmed the final test will begin on July 25 for PC and PS5, introducing a brand-new urban area, Kaifeng, which wasn't available in previous tests. Interested players can register via the official registration link. While no pre-order bonuses have been announced, players can wishlist the game starting today.
Where Winds Meet initially launched on PC in China in late 2024, with a mobile version following in 2025. Set during the Ten Kingdoms Era amid a clash of rival dynasties, players assume the role of a swordsman whose decisions significantly shape the conflict. The game draws heavy inspiration from Wuxia, a Chinese fiction genre featuring ancient martial artists with superhuman capabilities.
In an August 2023 preview of Where Winds Meet, we had the opportunity to go hands-on, experiencing its blend of Zelda and The Witcher-inspired gameplay along with the vast array of systems, choices, and possibilities available.
As for Sony, the company is aiming to replicate the monumental success of Black Myth: Wukong, which is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X and S this August, a year after its initial release on PC and PS5.
