Wario Land 4 Joins Nintendo Switch Online Library

Author : Aaron Apr 26,2025

Nintendo is set to enhance its Nintendo Switch Online library by adding the beloved Game Boy Advance title, Wario Land 4, on February 14. This exciting addition was announced with a captivating trailer, and the game will be accessible at no additional cost to those who are Nintendo Switch Online members and have purchased the Expansion Pass.

The synopsis teases, "The misguided Wario is back, and this time he's in search of riches. Ignoring all warning signs, Wario decides to enter a cursed pyramid that's rumored to house a bunch of gold and jewels. Our anti-hero quickly learns that the curse is no joke, realizing that he'll be lucky to escape alive."

In this thrilling adventure, players will navigate through 20 massive stages, collecting gold and treasure to buy bonus items after each stage. Additionally, the game offers a range of delightful mini-games for players to enjoy during breaks.

Upon its initial release in 2001, Wario Land 4 received high praise, scoring a 9/10 from IGN. The review highlighted the game's diverse design and challenging nature, noting, "There's a lot of variety in the game design and it's more challenging than the usual side-scrolling fare due to its focus on making players figure out how to get to certain locations in the level."

With Wario Land 4, Nintendo adds the 24th Game Boy Advance title to its expansive library, joining other classics such as Mario Kart: Super Circuit, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team.
