Get ready for an exciting new update to Warframe: 1999 this March! The upcoming Techrot Encore update, as revealed in one of Digital Extremes' devstreams, is set to introduce the 60th Warframe, Temple, along with four new Protoframes. But that's not all—there's a whole lot more coming your way, including the chance to confront some familiar faces turned foes.
The Techrot Encore update introduces the Technocyte Coda to the Lich adversary system. Remember the boy band On-Lyne? They were the stars of the ARG that led up to Warframe: 1999's release. Now, these once charming and non-threatening idols have transformed into cybernetic killing machines, ready to challenge you in the game.
To help you tackle these new threats, four new Scaldra weapons will be added, providing you with more options to blast or slash your way through intense firefights. Additionally, the update will bring changes to the Romance & Relationships system, perfect for all the lovebirds out there. You can also look forward to a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin and the debut of the aforementioned Protoframes and Warframe.
The turn-of-the-century aesthetic of Warframe: 1999 continues to charm players, and the addition of boy-band-turned-cybernetic-monstrosities adds a unique twist to the game's enemy roster. If you're as intrigued by this concept as I am, you won't want to miss out on this update.
Leading up to the March release, you can dive into more content starting February 6th with the return of the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast, new skins, and Nightwave Vol. 8, all offering additional rewards to enhance your gameplay experience.
