Cyberpunk 2077: A Retro Movie Adaptation Concept Takes Shape

Fans are envisioning a Cyberpunk 2077 movie, and thanks to modern technology, some impressive concepts are emerging. One such concept, created by YouTube channel Sora AI, reimagines the game's characters in a stylish 1980s action movie aesthetic.

Sora AI continues their creative experiments, this time tackling the popular CD Projekt RED title. The resulting concept art features familiar faces, reinterpreted to capture the gritty feel of 80s action films.

While some characters undergo significant stylistic changes, they remain easily recognizable. The concept includes characters from both the main game and the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion.

This impressive visual achievement is partly due to advancements in DLSS 4 technology. The new Vision Transformer model significantly improves image quality in super-resolution and ray reconstruction. The enhanced frame generation, creating two or three intermediate frames instead of one, also boosts performance.

Testing on an RTX 5080 with the updated Cyberpunk 2077 and path tracing enabled, DLSS 4 consistently delivered over 120 frames per second at 4K resolution. This showcases the impressive capabilities of the latest technology in rendering high-quality visuals.
