As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week marks the thrilling conclusion, starting on May 21st, 2025, and lasting until May 27th. This event brings your journey with Kubfu to its ultimate goal—evolving into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.
To unlock the Single Strike style, set Kubfu as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead. This week is your chance to choose the path that best fits your battling style.
The Final Strike: GO Battle Week also features a Special Research that continues the seasonal storyline. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research offers rewards like Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a special background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. During this event, several bonuses are in effect to enhance your experience.
You'll need to travel only a quarter of the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage limit for Max Particles increases to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Additionally, you'll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles, and you can make two extra Special Trades during this time.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the damage boost remains consistent.
