As we kick off the new year, it's the perfect time to look ahead at the exciting game releases slated for 2025. Here's a rundown of the most anticipated titles we know about so far!

January 2025

Dynasty Warriors: Origins
On January 17, Tecmo Koei brings back their iconic musou series with Dynasty Warriors: Origins, the first major entry since 2018. Sid Meier’s Civilization 7
Also launching on February 11, Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 continues the legendary strategy series. Guide your civilization through the ages with the familiar 4X gameplay (Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate). This game will be available on nearly every platform, including Linux, but not on mobile at launch.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows
On February 14, Ubisoft's Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes players to feudal Japan. With dual protagonists, you can experience the life of both a ninja and a samurai. Available on current-gen consoles and PC.

Date Everything!
Also on February 14, Date Everything! offers a unique sandbox dating simulator where you can romance over 100 anthropomorphized objects, from windows to walls. Fully voice-acted and available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Avowed
On February 18, Obsidian's Avowed arrives on Xbox Series consoles and PC. Set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, this first-person action RPG promises a more focused experience akin to The Outer Worlds, perfect for those who struggle to finish long games.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
On February 21, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii sees Goro Majima embark on a new adventure as a pirate after losing his memory. Available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Monster Hunter Wilds

Atomfall
On March 27, Atomfall offers a survival experience in a post-nuclear English countryside, drawing inspiration from Fallout and Stalker. Available on all platforms except Switch.

The First Berserker: Khazan
Also on March 27, The First Berserker: Khazan expands the Dungeon & Fighter universe with a single-player action RPG. Available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

inZOI
On March 28, inZOI aims to challenge The Sims with its stunning visuals and innovative gameplay. This South Korean-developed life sim could be one of the year's biggest hits. Launching on PC, with console versions planned for later.

April 2025

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
On April 24, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves marks the return of the series with its first new game this century. Featuring beloved characters like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, this fighting game is available on both PlayStation consoles, Xbox Series, and PC.
