Subway Surfers City: A New Twist on Endless Running
The popular Subway Surfers franchise returns with a new installment, Subway Surfers City, currently in soft launch. While retaining the addictive core gameplay, this iteration adds exciting new features.
Currently in soft launch, the game is only available in select regions (including the Netherlands, Canada, and Denmark). SYBO Games hasn't announced a global release date.
Familiar Fun, Fresh Features
The core gameplay remains: race through vibrant cityscapes, collect coins, and evade the inspector and his dog. However, Subway Surfers City introduces a brand-new setting – Subway City – complete with fresh obstacles, new heights to conquer, and a roster of characters both familiar (Jake, Tricky, Fresh, Yutani) and new (Jay, Billy). Unlocking unexplored areas is now tied to earning experience points (XP).
Enhanced visuals accompany a revamped leveling system and character upgrade mechanics. The addition of secret stars adds another layer of progression.
Experienced Subway Surfers players will recognize the basic running, jumping, and dodging mechanics. However, new challenges and twists keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
