Xion Transformed: Festive Decorations and a Mini-Game:

Xion, the last human settlement, gets a holiday makeover! Expect warm lights and festive red, green, and white decorations throughout Xion, including The Last Gulp and Eve's camp. Relax to new seasonal BGM, "Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away," offering a respite from the usual battles.

A new mini-game adds to the festive fun. While details are scarce, it involves targeting a holiday-themed drone for special rewards.

Control Your Holiday Experience:

The update introduces an option to toggle seasonal content on or off, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Find this setting under "Gameplay" in the game's options menu. Choose from:

  • Auto: Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the season.
  • Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
  • Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.

Mixed Reception:

While mostly well-received, some players expressed concerns. Some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content was also a point of contention.
