Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl boasts an impressive array of weapons, catering to various playstyles. Among these, players can uncover unique, named variants with enhanced modifications and power, and the Cavalier is a prime example. This special sniper rifle, equipped with a red-dot sight rather than a traditional scope, excels at short to medium ranges. Let's explore how to acquire this exceptional weapon.
How to Get the Unique Cavalier Rifle in Stalker 2
Players can obtain the Cavalier Sniper Rifle near the Military Unit within the Duga base in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The weapon is located inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously visited the Duga base to access the Journalist's stash, you'll find it easy to enter through the second entrance.
Getting Inside the Warehouse Near the Military Unit of Duga Base
Upon entering the Duga base, navigate towards the Military Unit building, which is marked on your map. You don't need to enter the building itself, but rather, proceed around it to reach the greenhouse at the back. Exercise caution, as two Pseudogiants patrol this area and will attack on sight. Carefully approach the greenhouse to avoid a confrontation with these formidable mutants.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll find yourself in the warehouse. Be prepared, as multiple swarms of rats will immediately appear and begin to drain your health. To escape the rats, climb onto the elevated green platforms at the back of the warehouse. Use a grenade to eliminate the rat swarm efficiently.
Break the Wooden Boards & Grab the Cavalier Rifle
After dealing with the rats, direct your attention to the ceiling above the entryway connecting the greenhouse to the warehouse. You'll notice wooden boards painted yellow. Use your weapon to shoot these boards, causing the Cavalier sniper rifle to drop from above.
Secure the weapon and safely exit the Duga base. You can then enhance the Cavalier at Rostok base with Screw, the technician. This rifle boasts maximum damage and excellent accuracy, which can be further improved with upgrades and modifications. For players who prefer not to use a scope on their sniper rifles, the Cavalier is an ideal choice, thanks to its red-dot sight, making it perfect for close to medium-range engagements.
