The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:
No Return Mode Updates:
Sony announced the addition of two new characters to No Return Mode: Bill and Marlene from The Last of Us Part I. Each character brings a unique playstyle to the mode:
- Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle, allowing access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and receiving double rewards from drops. He's stronger against melee attacks but cannot dodge.
- Marlene features a "Risk Taker" playstyle with a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.
Additionally, four new maps are being introduced to No Return Mode:
- Overlook: Set high above Seattle with verticality, reminiscent of a Seraphites encounter in the campaign.
- School: An abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F.
- Streets: Set in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest.
- Nest: Familiar to players who have played as Abby through an Infected-infested building.
All new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.
PSN Sign-In Incentives:
While The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC features an optional PSN log-in, players who choose to sign in will gain access to the PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies. As an added incentive, Sony offers 50 in-game points to activate bonus features and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet:
Neil Druckmann, the director of The Last of Us, recently shared insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which has been in development for four years. The game, starring Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun, is set in an alternate historical timeline and explores themes of faith and religion.
HBO's The Last of Us Season 2:
The PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered comes ahead of Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation. Showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted from Season 1.
This comprehensive update from Sony not only enhances the gaming experience for The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC but also enriches the No Return Mode across platforms, offering players new challenges and rewards.
