Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Last Chance to Save $300

Author : Andrew May 05,2025

If you're a fan of high-quality audio, you'll know that Sonos rarely discounts their premium speakers. However, now is your chance to grab one of their top models at a significant discount. Both Amazon and Walmart are currently offering the Sonos Arc soundbar for just $599, a massive $300 off its original price. This deal is especially noteworthy because the Arc has been discontinued and replaced by the new Arc Ultra. It's sold out on Sonos' website and might only reappear in their Refurbished section.

The Sonos Arc was the flagship soundbar until the launch of the Arc Ultra, which retails for $1,000 and hasn't yet been discounted. The Arc is a premium 45" soundbar featuring eleven precisely engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight midwoofers. It supports Dolby Atmos with two dedicated height channels, making your audio experience truly immersive. The Arc integrates seamlessly with other Sonos speakers and subs via the Sonos app, making it ideal for those who want excellent sound without the usual AV setup hassle. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, and WiFi connectivity. The built-in microphone allows for voice commands, enhancing user interaction.

While the Arc Ultra maintains a similar appearance and dimensions to the Arc (being just 1.5" wider, 0.4" shorter, and 0.4" shallower), its internal components have been significantly upgraded. It boasts fourteen speakers, including seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer. This upgrade results in superior bass and enhanced dialogue clarity. Additionally, the Arc Ultra includes Bluetooth, a feature missing from the original Arc.

Sonos Arc Ultra Review by Nick Woodard

"With the Arc Ultra, Sonos has elevated an already industry-leading soundbar to new heights. It delivers richer bass and a more immersive experience thanks to its expanded array of drivers. The addition of Bluetooth and Android Trueplay compatibility justifies its higher price point. While there are minor criticisms, and Sonos still faces challenges with their app and headphones, the Arc Ultra reaffirms their position at the forefront of wireless audio technology."
