Shiny Pokémon to Join Pokémon TCG Pocket Soon!

Exciting news for Pokémon TCG Pocket fans! The game is set to dazzle with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon through the highly anticipated Shining Revelry expansion. The Pokémon Company has confirmed that these sparkling versions of your favorite Pokémon will enhance your digital card collection starting March 27th, 2025. Get ready to pull Shiny versions of iconic cards like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu, with the new digital format adding a shimmering effect when the cards are tilted.

In addition to the Shiny Pokémon, you'll have the chance to showcase them with a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder, available from April 1st. The expansion isn't just about shinies; it also brings in Pokémon and Trainers from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering players the opportunity to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks.

Shiny Pokémon have long been a cherished part of the Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. The Hidden Fates set later set the standard for modern Shiny cards with its expansive Shiny Vault. Now, these beloved variants are ready to shine in the digital realm of Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

Get ready to test your skills, as ranked matches are set to launch in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The inaugural season will start on March 28th and continue until April 27th, featuring the new cards from the Shining Revelry expansion. Players will be matched against others of similar skill levels, ensuring competitive and engaging gameplay. At the end of the season, you'll earn an emblem for your profile based on your final rank, adding a prestigious touch to your gaming achievements.
