SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic Crossover Event!

Sonic Rumble hasn't even launched globally yet, but it has already rolled out a thrilling crossover event featuring some of the most beloved SEGA stars. Dubbed Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars, this event is currently live and will run until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th.

Currently in its soft launch phase, Sonic Rumble is available in over 40 countries. The game had its first pre-launch in the summer of 2024 in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. The second pre-launch expanded to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.

What's in Store?

If you're in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble has soft-launched, you're in for a treat with the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the iconic Altered Beast crew, offering the Werewolf transformation for free. Fans of the nostalgic beast modes can also unlock the Werebear and Weredragon. The Weredragon is available through the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.

Adding a touch of Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the fray. Opa-Opa is part of the Premium Pass, and Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which can be bought with standard rings at 700 rings each.

Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee also make an appearance in the crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. Check out a glimpse of the crossover event below.

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

You can earn extra goodies by collecting SEGA logos during matches. It might seem unusual for the event to be live before the global release, but SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.

It's incredibly exciting to see Sonic Rumble's first crossover event delve into SEGA's rich catalog of past and present characters. From monkeys and sentient arcade ships to buff were-creatures interacting with Sonic and his friends, this crossover event promises a lot for Sonic Rumble's future.

You can download the game from the Google Play Store or look forward to its global launch on May 8th in your region.
