Saros, a Returnal Spiritual Successor, is Coming 2026

Housemarque's latest venture, Saros, was introduced at the State of Play in February 2025, and it's slated for release on both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro in 2026. This new title continues the legacy of their third-person action game, Returnal, introducing players to a new protagonist, Arjun Devraj, portrayed by the talented Hollywood actor Rahul Kohli.

According to Housemarque’s creative director, Gregory Louden, Saros aims to establish a standalone IP that refines and expands upon the storytelling and mechanics of Returnal. While Returnal offers an ever-changing roguelike experience across shifting biomes, Saros introduces permanent and evolving loadouts, including weapons and suits, designed to help players "Come Back Stronger" and overcome any challenges they encounter.
