Can you believe it's already been a year since Bluepoch Games launched their captivating time-travel RPG? Reverse: 1999 is ringing in its first anniversary with a massive Version 1.9 update called 'Vereinsamt' - and trust me, you don't want to miss what's coming.
The Meaning Behind 'Vereinsamt'
The update's German title 'Vereinsamt' translates to 'Lonely' in English, hinting at the emotional depth players can expect. As part of the anniversary celebration, all players need to do is log in during the event to claim the 6-star character Semmelweis absolutely free, plus score 30 free pulls to bolster your roster.
Meet Lucy, the stunning new 6-star DPS character with a mechanical aesthetic that pays homage to classic Metropolis designs. Don't let her robotic appearance fool you - she's actually an Awakened arcanist with ties to the Watt steam engine prototype, driven by an insatiable thirst for scientific progress. You'll find Lucy in the limited-time 'Thoughts in Cylinder' banner.
Fan-favorite Matilda returns as a 5-star character, joined by Kakania who first appeared in Version 1.7. Starting October 10th, players can summon Kakania through the 'Observation into the Mirrors' banner. Check out the anniversary trailer below to see all these characters in action!
Exciting New Game Modes Arrive
The anniversary update introduces 'A Series of Dusks', a challenging rogue-like mode that will test your strategic skills. Complete it to earn the new 5-star character Lorelei alongside plenty of valuable rewards.
Get ready for some stylish crossovers too! Discovery is bringing fresh outfits for Tooth Fairy and Getian, while a special partnership with KOI kicks off in October with exclusive limited-edition merchandise.
Version 1.9 marks another first for the game - unique character garments. Regulus leads the fashion charge with her futuristic 'Take Off! To the Future' outfit that enhances Ultimates. Other characters including Jessica, Voyager and Sonetto aren't being left out either, with fresh new looks of their own.
