If you've been eagerly anticipating the Hong Kong cinema-inspired "Showdown in Chinatown" update for Reverse: 1999, your wait is finally over! Version 2.5, part one, is now live, bringing with it exciting new content including limited and five-star characters.

In "Showdown in Chinatown," the notorious arcanist criminal Nightpiercer resurfaces in Los Angeles. Officer Liang Yue, assigned by the Vigiles Bureau, joins forces with the Division of Arcane Affairs to put an end to Nightpiercer's reign of chaos once and for all.

Liang Yue is introduced as part of the limited-time "Moonbeam Guardian" Dushuo Limited Banner. Alongside this, players can snag a free garment for the beloved character, Windsong. To help you get your hands on these and other top characters, the update offers a total of 40 free pulls through various rewards and events.

WuxiaNew challenges await with special rewards on offer. The "When the Alarm Sounds" and board game-themed "Critter Crash" events will be available until the 29th, rewarding players with everything from Limited Portraits to a new garment.

The traditional Chinese-style dress that Liang Yue wears is inspiring a new garment series called "Old Stories New Perspectives." This series is available for characters Jiu Niangzi, Tuesday, Sotheby, The Fool, and Windsong, allowing you to refresh their looks.

Keep an eye out for the new limited building, where you can collect Red Envelopes through tasks and minigames. These can be swapped for a variety of rewards, including 5-star insight coupons, portraits, and growth materials.
