Rainbow Six Siege Upcoming 10th Year Anniversary
Originally launched on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Rainbow Six Siege has since been ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020. Ubisoft's continuous updates have kept the game thriving as one of the longest-running live-service shooters across multiple platforms. The forthcoming major update could further extend the longevity of the Rainbow Six franchise.
In a Steam post dated February 17, 2025, Ubisoft introduced a new operator named Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors. They also announced a new elite skin for operator Aruni and a new reputation system designed to reward or penalize players based on their in-game behavior during a season. These additions will be part of Season 1 of its 10th year, Operation Prep Phase, launching on March 4, 2025, in celebration of the game's 10th anniversary.
Given the launch date of Season 10 and the showcase for Rainbow Six Siege X, it appears the major updates will be implemented on the live servers at a later date.
