The excitement is palpable as the 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. With an impressive registration of over 90,000 competitors, the Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, are setting the stage for a thrilling competition. This event provides a golden opportunity for new talent to rise through the ranks and secure a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.

With a hefty $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams must showcase their prowess across multiple rounds to stand a chance against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. Notably, this tournament is exclusively open to amateurs, spotlighting emerging talent in the competitive scene.

Teams boasting at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already secured a spot in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. In the coming weeks, these emerging squads will vie for advancement to the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the cream of the crop from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the opportunity to challenge the elite of PUBG Mobile in the PMGO Main Event. The Main Event will feature four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—who have already secured their spots based on their stellar performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will join the fray, qualifying from the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament heralds the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to make a comeback later in 2025.
