Project 007: James Bond Origin Story Game Launches on Nintendo Switch 2

Author : Allison Apr 15,2025

GoldenEye enthusiasts, rejoice! IO Interactive has thrilling news for you: their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, is set to grace the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game will delve into an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

The game promises an immersive experience where players will "step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," as stated by the developer. This fresh take on Bond's journey is designed to captivate fans and newcomers alike.

In an exclusive interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, expressed excitement about crafting an original story for the beloved spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak highlighted the ambition to create a trilogy and introduce a new Bond, built from the ground up for gamers. "It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
