Pokémon TCG Pocket to Drop Trade Feature and Space-Time Smackdown Expansion

Get ready, Pokémon TCG Pocket fans, because the game is rolling out some thrilling updates. Trading is on the horizon, and with it comes the much-anticipated Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Soon, you'll be able to swap cards with your friends right within the game, adding a whole new layer of excitement to your Pokémon TCG experience.

When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?

Mark your calendars for January 29th, 2025, when trading becomes available in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just a day later, on January 30th, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will launch. This update not only introduces trading but also enhances your digital binder and display board with new covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

Trading has been eagerly awaited by the community. To participate, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that the cards you can trade are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Currently, you can only trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised to include more tradeable cards in future updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion takes you back to the Sinnoh region within Pokémon TCG Pocket. This expansion introduces two new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with stunning new card illustrations. You'll also get to encounter Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, and the charming Sinnoh starter Pokémon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. For a deeper dive into what's coming, don't miss this video below.

Are you excited about the prospect of trading cards or expanding your collection with some Sinnoh legends? Either way, you can grab Pokémon TCG Pocket from the Google Play Store and start preparing for these exciting updates.
