Goblinz Publishing, renowned for titles like Overboss and Oaken, has launched a new Android game: Ozymandias. This 4X strategy game, reminiscent of the Civilization series, offers exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination. Read on for details.
Blazing Speed!
Set in the Bronze Age, Ozymandias lets you explore diverse Mediterranean and European civilizations. It delivers the strategic depth of a classic 4X game – city building, army raising, and conquering foes – but with a key difference: streamlined gameplay.
Unlike many 4X games that overwhelm players with micromanagement, Ozymandias simplifies resource management. It's designed for fast-paced play, significantly reducing tedious detail.
The game features eight detailed historical maps and 52 unique empires, each with distinct characteristics that demand adaptable strategies. Multiple game modes are available, including solo, multiplayer, and asynchronous options.
A typical match concludes within 90 minutes, akin to a board game session. Simultaneous turns maintain a brisk pace, although this simplification might be a drawback for some. Intrigued? Check out the trailer!
Ready to Conquer?
Ozymandias is available now on Android via the Google Play Store for $2.79. Developed by The Secret Games Company using Unreal Engine 4, it initially launched on Steam for PC in March 2022.
