During Terra’s Legacy, your adventures in Orna will intertwine with tangible environmental efforts. As you go about your daily routine, Orna will guide you to discover locations marred by pollution or littered with garbage.
By submitting these spots through the game, Northern Forge Studios will transform them into Gloomsites. These in-game locations will represent the environmental challenges we face on our planet.
At these Gloomsites, you'll confront the Murk, a formidable waste-themed enemy symbolizing pollution. It's a battle that might remind you of epic tales like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind or Princess Mononoke!
Defeating the Murk contributes directly to raising awareness about real-world pollution. You can then plant trees and grow Gaia apples in these once-polluted areas. These Gaia apples can be used to customize your character and enhance their magical abilities.
Other players can also harvest these apples, ensuring everyone benefits from the rewards. The more players who collaborate, the cleaner the world becomes, both within the game and in reality.
Orna is launching Terra’s Legacy as part of the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual event where game developers worldwide unite to create initiatives focused on environmental awareness.
