Multiplayer Skirmish Mode Lands on 'Company of Heroes' iOS

Author : Joshua Feb 25,2025

Company of Heroes, the acclaimed World War II real-time strategy (RTS) game from Relic Entertainment and ported by Feral Interactive, is finally getting multiplayer! A recent iOS beta update introduces the highly anticipated skirmish mode.

Relic Entertainment, known for the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War series, also boasts a beloved WWII RTS franchise in Company of Heroes. The mobile version, initially released without multiplayer, now offers online skirmish battles.

The iOS version of Company of Heroes now features an online skirmish mode beta, allowing players to compete using factions inspired by real-world WWII militaries. This includes the Americans and Germans, along with the UK and Panzer Elite factions from the Opposing Fronts expansion.

Company of Heroes masterfully blends realistic warfare with engaging RTS gameplay. Strategic thinking is paramount; superior units alone won't guarantee victory. A single misstep can quickly decimate your forces.

While I've always preferred AI opponents in RTS due to the skill level of some human players, this multiplayer addition is a significant upgrade for the polished iOS port. For those who missed this crucial feature, this is undoubtedly exciting news.
