Capcom's Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase today provided an exciting glimpse into the future of the latest entry in the Monster Hunter series. The spotlight was on the upcoming Title Update 1, alongside announcements of new cosmetic DLC, surprise additions, and details about the next Title Update.
Title Update 1 is scheduled to launch on April 4, 2025, and will be available as a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside this update, a variety of free and paid DLC options will become available. Players can look forward to a new social hub, fresh armor and cosmetic options, and encounters with new fearsome monsters.
We now have a clear roadmap for the next significant update in Monster Hunter Wilds. Which aspect of the update are you most excited about? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
A New Hub For Hunters
The showcase kicked off with a detailed look at the new endgame hub for hunting parties, known as the Grand Hub. This area offers a range of new activities for players to enjoy, from feasting together and arm wrestling to listening to the Diva's nightly performances. There's also a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game, where players can earn vouchers through various in-game activities and claim additional rewards. To unlock the Grand Hub, players must reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
Mizutsune Arrives
A major highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the bubbly monster, Mizutsune. Known for its swift tail strikes and powerful water jets, Mizutsune promises to challenge hunters with its dynamic moveset. Players at Hunter Rank 21 or above can initiate the quest by speaking with Kanya in the Scarlet Forest, and successful hunts will yield new gear to craft.
Additional Hunts on the Way
A new Event Quest will introduce the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau to Monster Hunter Wilds. This fight is a step above the usual Tempered encounters, offering a significant challenge for players at Hunter Rank 50 or above. Completing this quest will unlock new armor. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to re-fight Zoh Shia through new quests after reaching Hunter Rank 50, with the chance to craft new armor from these encounters.
Arena Quests
Speedrunners will find a new challenge in Arena Quests, designed for those looking to compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with pendants awarded for participation and achievement. These quests can be accessed through the counter in the new Grand Hub.
Change Alma's Outfit
Alma, one of the game's most dedicated handlers, is getting a wardrobe update. Players can now customize Alma's appearance through a new menu at camp, with one outfit available for free. Completing a specific side mission will also allow players to change Alma's glasses.

More DLC is on the Way
Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be available for free, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, accessible through the store or included with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, will offer additional cosmetic options. New stickers and looks for Alma are also on the horizon.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
The game will see the addition of more Event Quests and Seasonal Events. During these events, the Grand Hub will transform, and special meals will be available. Limited equipment, gestures, decorations, and more will be up for grabs. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starts on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most past events and Event Quests will return in the future.
The Roadmap Ahead
Here's the rollout plan for Title Update 1 and its associated content. U.S. players will receive the update on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau will arrive on April 29, and by the end of May, additional features and a Capcom collaboration will be introduced.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2
The showcase concluded with a teaser for Title Update 2, set to launch this summer. While no specific date was given, a brief image hinted at the return of the long-awaited monster, Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, who appears to be causing chaos on the surface.
