Monitor Your Fortnite Spending: A Guide to Tracking V-Buck Purchases

Want to know exactly how much you've spent on Fortnite skins and V-Bucks? It's easier than you think, and knowing your total expenditure can help avoid budget surprises. Here's how to track your Fortnite spending using two reliable methods.

Why Track Your Spending?

While small purchases might seem insignificant, they add up quickly. Just like the woman in the NotAlwaysRight story who unknowingly spent nearly $800 on Candy Crush in three months, you might be surprised by your Fortnite total. Let's prevent any such shocks!

Method 1: Check Your Epic Games Store Account

All V-Buck transactions, regardless of platform or payment method, are recorded in your Epic Games Store account. Here's how to access this information:

  1. Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Account," then "Transactions."
  4. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transaction history, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  5. Identify V-Buck purchases (usually listed as "5,000 V-Bucks" with a corresponding dollar amount).
  6. Record the V-Bucks and currency amounts for each purchase.
  7. Use a calculator to sum your total V-Bucks and total currency spent.

Important Note: Free Epic Games Store game claims will also appear; scroll past those to isolate your Fortnite spending. V-Bucks card redemptions might not show a dollar amount, but the V-Buck value will still be listed.

Method 2: Utilize Fortnite.gg

While not automatically tracking purchases, Fortnite.gg allows manual input for a comprehensive overview of your cosmetic collection's value.

  1. Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each outfit and item from your Cosmetics section by clicking on each item and then "+ Locker." You can also search for items.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your acquired cosmetics.
  5. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter (easily found online) to calculate your approximate spending.

Neither method is perfect, but combined they offer a solid way to gain insight into your Fortnite spending habits.

Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
