MLBB Women’s Invitational Returns July 2025

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational (MWI) will make its triumphant return to Riyadh in July 2025 following last year's breathtaking finale at the Esports World Cup. Reigning champions Smart Omega Empress shocked the world in 2024 by defeating perennial favorites Team Vitality in the Grand Finals, ending their unprecedented three-year dominance across 24 consecutive tournaments.

Expanded Tournament Format

The 2025 edition raises the competitive stakes with sixteen elite women's teams battling from July 15-19. The action begins with a double-elimination Group Stage featuring all qualified teams, narrowing the field to eight squads that advance to single-elimination playoffs. Competitors will vie for their share of a $550,000 total prize pool, including a special $10,000 MVP award.

The qualification process has expanded its reach across multiple regions, with powerhouse teams already securing spots including:

  • DreamMax (MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers)
  • CFU Serendipity (Queen Legends Season 1)
  • NAVI MY (MYSG Qualifier)
  • Falcons Vega MENA (Carry1st Africa Cup)

Additional slots will be determined through regional competitions including BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with qualifiers still running across China, North America, Mekong, Mongolia, and Türkiye.

The MWI returns as part of the broader Esports World Cup 2025, which brings together premier esports organizations across multiple gaming titles. While Smart Omega Empress enters as defending champions, the expanded international field creates unprecedented competition level with talented challengers emerging worldwide.
