Microsoft's Sea of Thieves Collaborates With Sony's Destiny 2 For a New Crossover

In an exciting crossover event, a Sony property is making waves in a Microsoft game. Sea of Thieves, the beloved pirate-themed adventure from Microsoft, has introduced new cosmetics inspired by the world of Destiny 2. Players can now bring the epic battle against the Darkness to the high seas with the Lightbearer cosmetics set, featuring an array of items like new flags, ship cosmetics, and a costume set that pay homage to the Destiny universe. The trailer for this new set showcases various nods to Destiny, including the Drifter's iconic outfit and a ghost hanging off the front of a ship. The Pirate Emporium is stocked with a wealth of Destiny-themed options, allowing players to fully customize their ships and sailors.

Sea of Thieves made a splash on PlayStation last year, marking it as one of several Microsoft titles to cross over to Sony's console. The new Destiny-themed cosmetics are now available in Sea of Thieves, and while it's unclear if Destiny 2 will receive any pirate-themed content, the idea of a giant pirate ship sailing through space certainly sparks the imagination.
