Mask Around: The Sequel to Mask Up Delivers More Gooey Action!
Following up on the 2020 hit, Mask Up, comes Mask Around – a new game that retains the bizarre charm of its predecessor while adding exciting new features. Remember that unique roguelike platformer where you evolved from a puddle of yellow goo into a powerful, gooey warrior? Developer Rouli is back with even more strange and wonderful gameplay.
Mask Around expands on the original's 2D brawler mechanics by incorporating shooting elements. You'll seamlessly switch between running and gunning and using your goo-based abilities to overcome enemies. However, the precious yellow ooze remains a limited resource, so strategic use is key, particularly during boss fights.
Strategic Goo Management and Polished Gameplay
Available now on Google Play (with an iOS release yet to be announced), Mask Around appears to be a significant improvement over its predecessor. It retains the core gameplay loop while adding depth and polish. Players must carefully manage their goo supply while utilizing weapons as backup. The upgraded graphics also enhance the overall experience.
The game presents a more strategic challenge than its predecessor, requiring players to decide when to unleash their goo powers and when to rely on their weaponry.
