Marvel Explores Defenders Reunion Strategies

The excitement for the upcoming season of *Daredevil* is palpable, and the show's creators are already contemplating the future, including the possibility of a *Defenders* reunion. In a comprehensive feature by Entertainment Weekly, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming and TV, expressed enthusiasm about the potential to bring back the street-level heroes from *Daredevil*, *Luke Cage*, *Jessica Jones*, and *Iron Fist*, collectively known as The Defenders.

While no plans are officially confirmed, Winderbaum shared with EW, “It’s certainly exciting to be able to play in that sandbox… Obviously, we don’t have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book, [where] if you can draw it, you can do it. We’re dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television.”

He further elaborated, “But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring.”

We're already aware that *Daredevil: Born Again* will continue the story directly from where the Netflix series left off. Netflix previously hosted its own Marvel universe on a smaller scale with shows like *Jessica Jones*, *Iron Fist*, and *Luke Cage*. According to Winderbaum’s remarks, *Daredevil: Born Again* might serve as a springboard to revive these characters on Disney Plus, under Disney's own terms. Notably, the new season will feature Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher, marking another successful transfer of a Netflix hero to the Disney platform.

For the time being, fans will need to wait for *Daredevil: Born Again* to premiere on March 4 before speculating on how *Daredevil* might integrate with the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
