CI Games has revealed what players can anticipate for Lords of the Fallen 2 during Gamescom's Opening Night Live, noting the sequel has evolved based on player feedback after the original game's challenging launch period.
Positioned as a completely independent follow-up to 2023's Lords of the Fallen, this Unreal Engine 5 sequel introduces dual interconnected worlds to discover, featuring an enhanced Umbral realm alongside shared campaign progression in online cooperative play.
"With over 2 million copies sold and more than 5.5 million players experiencing Lords of the Fallen, our resurgence has been driven by community support," stated CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski. "Lords of the Fallen 2 takes this even further. Our 2024 announcement reinforced our dedication to prioritizing players. The V2.0 update demonstrated this commitment—we listen, adapt, and implement. This sequel embodies that same philosophy from the ground up."
Additional confirmed features include optional player-versus-player combat and customizable game modifiers.
