Lara Croft Unveils Surprise Appearance in New Game Franchise

Lara Croft, the iconic Tomb Raider, is raiding Naraka: Bladepoint! The fast-paced battle royale game's upcoming third-anniversary celebration (August 2024) includes a major Tomb Raider crossover. This exciting collaboration was revealed during a recent livestream showcasing new content.

The Tomb Raider franchise, a gaming legend since 1996, boasts numerous spin-offs, including comics and a soon-to-be-released Netflix animated series. Lara Croft's enduring popularity has secured her spot as a leading female video game protagonist, leading to collaborations with titles like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Fortnite, and Final Fantasy XV.

In Naraka: Bladepoint, Lara's likeness will grace the assassin Matari, the Silver Crow – a highly agile character. While a preview of the skin remains elusive, past Naraka: Bladepoint crossovers suggest the Lara Croft skin will encompass a full outfit, hairstyle, and various accessories.

Naraka: Bladepoint's Massive 2024 Anniversary

Naraka: Bladepoint's third anniversary is a landmark event. Besides the Tomb Raider collaboration, players can look forward to Perdoria, a brand-new map – the first in almost two years! Launching July 2nd, Perdoria promises unique challenges, secrets, and gameplay mechanics unlike those in existing maps. A further collaboration with CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also planned for later in the year.

However, alongside the exciting news, Naraka: Bladepoint announced the discontinuation of Xbox One support by the end of August. Reassuringly, all player progress and cosmetic items will remain linked to Xbox accounts, ensuring a seamless transition to Xbox Series X/S or PC via the Xbox platform.
