Kingambit Joins Pokémon Go in Crown Clash Event Next Month

Author : Thomas May 17,2025

As you prepare for the Sweet Discoveries event, get ready for the regal festivities of the Crown Clash event in Pokémon Go, set to take place from May 10th to 18th. This event promises an array of exciting features, including the debut of Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, alongside costumed variants of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, and a plethora of other rewards.

Kingambit makes its grand entrance during the Crown Clash event. To evolve Bisharp into Kingambit, it must be your buddy, and you'll need to triumph over 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. Bisharp doesn't need to fight; just having it as your buddy while you secure those victories will do the trick.

Adding to the royal flair, Nidoqueen and Nidoking will appear in their crowned glory. These majestic Pokémon will headline three-star raids, with the possibility of encountering their Shiny forms. The one-star raids will feature Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

ytDon't miss out on the wild encounters during the event. You'll have frequent chances to catch Slowpoke (potentially earning a King’s Rock), Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Keep an eye out for more frequent appearances of Pawniard as well.

Before diving into the event, make sure to check out the latest redeemable Pokémon Go codes to maximize your rewards.

With double XP for evolving Pokémon, it's the perfect opportunity to tackle your evolution backlog. Engage in event-themed Field Research tasks and a catch-and-evolve Collection Challenge to earn extra XP, Stardust, and another chance at catching Pawniard. Trainers at Level 31 and above will be rewarded with guaranteed Candy XL for their evolutions upon completing the challenge.

Don't forget to visit PokéStops, where you can participate in event-themed Showcases to display your crown-worthy catches. Additionally, the Pokémon Go Web Store will offer special deals to help you gear up for this regal event.
