In Jetpack Joyride’s newest update, Barry Steakfries receives a massive power boost. Starting July 30th, players can dive into the limited-time Masters of the Universe event, bringing the raw energy of Eternia to this wild side-scrolling adventure. Through a collaboration with Mattel, Halfbrick Studios invites you to gear up as Grayskull’s greatest heroes—though Skeletor is sure to bring his own brand of chaos.
This crossover introduces five legendary costumes directly from the Masters of the Universe franchise, allowing you to soar through levels as He-Man, Skeletor, and other fan-favorite characters.
Beyond their striking visuals, each costume pairs with a themed collection of four jetpacks and three vehicles. Highlights include the mighty Battle Cat and the legendary Power Sword, delivering a heavy dose of 80s nostalgia amidst laser walls and coin trails.
While this isn’t Barry’s first encounter with mayhem, it might be his most eccentric yet. The crossover doesn’t just swap out visuals; it layers heroic absurdity over the gameplay, pitting Eternian magic and technology against missile barrages and electric traps.
The event also serves as a smart refresh for one of mobile gaming’s longest-running arcade titles.
